Make Music Milwaukee

While Make Music Day has been taking place since 1982, Milwaukee is just approaching its fourth year of annual participation.  Make Music Day is an international celebration of music to be enjoyed by everyone, for free, on the longest day of the year.  Performances and activities are led by musicians of all ages and talent levels, in places like coffeehouses, sidewalks, museums, parks, or wherever they can find to play!  The goal of this day is to celebrate the joy of making music & expose people to new styles of music and neighborhoods in their community that they wouldn’t ordinarily experience otherwise. The more creative and fun, the better! In the past, participants were able to play at Milwaukee favorites such as Riverwest Radio, Lakefront Brewery and the Plaza Outside the Fiserv Forum. Our goal is to reach thousands of community members through this celebration of music, and we would love your help!

In 2020, Make Music Milwaukee will be happening on Sunday, June 21st from 10am – 10pm.  If you are interested in participating by hosting an event or performing, please contact milwaukee@makemusicday.org to get started!
