The Creative Placemaking Institute was great!

The first-ever (and first of its kind in the country) UW-Madison Creative Placemaking Institute, which took place July 23-August 3, 2018 on the UW Madison campus and in locations around Wisconsin, was a huge success and a richly satisfying experience. Our students were a diverse group, bringing their curiosity, interests and expertise from the worlds of visual arts, advocacy and public policy, urban and regional planning, architecture and downtown development, and adding to the robust discussions we had throughout the course. We also benefited from the participation of several staff members from the UW Division of the Arts and other university programs.  Read more about the Institute and the people and communities involved.
