Arts Education Advocacy Resources
There are so many resources available on the internet to help you in
advocating for arts education in your community. Get more involved at
a local level by contacting one of the Wisconsin arts education advocacy
organizations listed below. Follow a toolkit’s tips to do some local
and national advocacy on your own (some only take a few minutes!). Help
save your school’s arts programs with research info showing the
benefit of arts education. No matter what your needs or interests, there
are an abundance of links, contacts, and print resources out there for

Arts@Large-- http://www.artsatlargeinc.org/ A program promoting arts education in the Milwaukee school district. The website includes a handbook, advocacy links, and educational resources for artists and teachers.
ABEA-- http://www.abea-wisconsin.org/ Promoting education about African American art in WI.
Alliance for Wisconsin Theatre Education--http://www.awte.net/ Committed to promoting comprehensive theatre education in WI.
Wisconsin Advocates for Music Education--http://wame.wmea.com/ A special feature of this organization is a “Music Advocacy Help Line”. A variety of resources (including tips, quotes, and research) are provided for all those involved in music education--teachers, students, and parents.
Wisconsin Task Force on Arts and Creativity in Education-- http://www.creative.wisconsin.gov/ Many resources, most notably “The Creative Wisconsin Guide”, a toolkit for communities advancing arts and creativity in education.
Wisconsin Alliance for Arts Education-- http://www.waae.org An affiliate of the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network.
