A great chance to let your legislators know of the many arts opportunities in their districts, and to ask them to support the 2008 Legislative Action Agenda (coming soon) and invest in the arts and arts educationin their districts and statewide.

When meeting with your legislator, describe the impact of increased investment in the arts and arts education in your community. This is the most effective argument for additional support. Arts Wisconsin will have updated position statements to take to your legislators, but the most important thing is that they know the impact of state funding to their constituents. Tell stories. Bring short, simple one page descriptions of your programs. Thank legislators for their support of the arts. (Click here for more action strategies on commucating with decision makers.)
