Arts Day 2018
Wisconsin arts, business, education, government, political, and civic leaders and supporters – people who care about Wisconsin’s future, spoke up for the arts and creativity throughout Wisconsin on Arts Day 2018 – Wednesday, March 21, in Madison.
The message for Arts Day was that investment in the arts and creativity is an investment in Wisconsin’s future. Arts Day 2018 celebrated the wide variety of Wisconsin’s entrepreneurial arts and creative infrastructure, demonstrated the ways in which the arts support communities across the state, and shared those stories with representatives and decision-makers.
Arts Day and the pre-Arts Day Creative Summit participants came from Altoona, Amherst, Appleton, Baraboo, Cottage Grove, DePere, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Green Bay, Green Lake, Kenosha, Lake Mills, Madison, Manitowoc, Mequon, Merrill, Middleton, Milwaukee, Mineral Point, Minocqua, Montello, Mt. On Arts Day, leaders from across the state called for the establishment of Wisconsin Creates, an exciting public/private partnership to invest in Wisconsin’s creative economy at the local and regional level. Learn more about Wisconsin Creates here.
